CHICAGO -- UIC will conclude a brief two-game road trip through Northeast Ohio on Saturday night when it takes on the Youngstown State Penguins in an Horizon League contest at the Beeghly Center. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. CT, and the tilt will air on
ESPN3.
UIC (9-8, 2-2 Horizon League) began the swing with a five-point win at Cleveland State on Thursday night. The Flames trailed the Vikings by three points at the half after CSU closed the opening period on a 9-0 run. Head coach
Steve McClain's squad shot 60.9 percent (14-of-23) in the second half, while making four of six attempts from beyond the arc in the second stanza. UIC got a big boost from its bench with
Dominique Matthews and

Youngstown State (8-10, 2-3 Horizon League) opened the weekend by hosting Valparaiso on Thursday. The Penguins' Cameron Morse scored a game-high 18 points, but Youngstown State fell 78-62 to the Crusaders at Beeghly Center. For a full recap of that contest,
please click here. Morse is the Horizon League's top scorer in conference play; the guard is averaging 20.8 points in the Penguins' last five conference contests.
The last time that the Flames played the Penguins, the result was a one-point affair in double overtime. YSU came out on top, but UIC's
Dikembe Dixson scored 40 points, the second-highest single-game output in program history, and added 17 rebounds while playing all 50 minutes.
Tai Odiase also had a big effort with 22 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks in a career-high 46 minutes.
