UIC Students Invited to Challenge Chief Booker

Police Chief will challenge a UIC student to a 3-point challenge Friday night

CHICAGO -- Are you a UIC student? Do you think you have what it takes to defeat UIC Police Chief Kevin Booker in a 3-point shootout? You may get the chance to prove it on Friday, Jan. 27 at the men's basketball game against Northern Kentucky.

Before the Flames take on the Norse at 7 p.m., the Pyromaniacs, the proud fire starters at UIC athletic events, will sign up fellow students at their stand located at the top of section 112 inside the UIC Pavilion. One grand prize winner will have the opportunity to compete in a 3-point shootout against Chief Booker at halftime. If the student knocks off the Chief, then he or she will receive tickets to see the Chicago White Sox take on the World Champion Chicago Cubs at historic Wrigley Field on either July 24 or 25. Other raffle prizes for those who register will be announced throughout the game.

Friday is also White Out 2017. The first 1,000 UIC students in attendance will receive an official White Out shirt, which will unscientifically help with 3-point shooting ability. All Flames fans in attendance are encouraged to wear white and support the squad as it seeks the fifth Horizon League win of the season.
