FAIRBORN, Ohio -- UIC reaches the end of the road for the 2016-17 regular season Sunday afternoon, when it visits the Wright State Raiders at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT.
The Flames (14-16, 7-10 Horizon League) were narrowly edged by the Raiders (19-11, 10-7 Horizon League), 88-86, in the first meeting between the two teams on Jan. 29 in Chicago. UIC found itself down five in the final minute, but had a chance to tie the game in the waning seconds. The home team couldn't get a couple of late shots to fall and the visitors escaped with a two-point win.
Michael Kolawole scored a career-high 17 points for the Flames, while
Godwin Boahen,
Tarkus Ferguson and
Dominique Matthews each netted 14 points. Ferguson added 10 rebounds and nine assists as he narrowly missed a triple-double. For a complete recap of te first game,

Wright State has come up short in back-to-back games after winning four in a row between Feb. 9-18. Four different Raiders are averaging at least 11.9 points per game during Horizon League play, led by Mark Alstork. Alstork is one of the conference's top scorers at 18.1 ppg in League games. Justin Mitchell is averaging nearly a double-double with 11.9 points and 9.2 rebounds in conference games. He joins UIC's Boahen as the only two Horizon League players to register a triple-double this season.
