CHICAGO – UIC announced Monday morning that its opening game against Stony Brook in the College Basketball Invitational presented by FIVE FOUR
has been postponed until Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m.
CT. The date change is a result of severe weather on the East Coast this week that will delay Stony Brook's arrival to Chicago.
This is UIC's (15-18, 7-11 Horizon League) first postseason berth in two seasons under head coach
Steve McClain, and the first since the 2012-13 team participated in the
CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT). It is the sixth postseason opportunity in program history, and the first in the CBI.
Tickets in the lower bowl of the UIC Pavilion are available for only $10 and floor seats can be purchased for $15. Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 13 at noon CT. To purchase, please call the UIC Ticket Office at 312-413-UIC1 (8421).
