CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (8-20, 1-16 HL) will play host to Wright State (20-9, 11-6 HL) in its final game of the regular season on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. CT at the UIC Pavilion. The Flames will be honoring seniors

Starting Five
- The Flames ended a 17-game draught on Friday with a 73-55 win over Northern Kentucky at home. The win was The Flames' first in Horizon League play and first at home since Dec. 18.
- UIC is second in the Horizon League in offensive rebounds with 14.7 per game. Six players (Johnson, Byrd, Toney, Lampley, Nneji, Zagorac) have at least one game with five offensive rebounds, and the Flames have out-offensive rebounded their opponents in 20 of 28 games.
- The Flames are second in the Horizon League in turnovers forced and third in the conference in steals, averaging 9.1 thefts per contest. They have had a positive turnover differential in 13 games and own a 7-6 record in those contests. UIC is ranked No. 60 in the nation in turnovers forced, averaging 18.4 per game.
- Taylor Toney owns 23 double-digit performances this season, six of which exceeded 20 points. She is the most efficient at the line, making 73 percent (94-of-128) of all freebies this season, and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the charity stripe on Friday (Feb. 23) against Northern Kentucky.
- Gabryelle Johnson leads the Flames in rebounding, averaging 7.0 boards per game. She is in the top ten in the Horizon League in rebounding, and is top three in offensive boards, where she owns a 3.2 per game average.
Last Time Out
- In their first conference win of the season, the Flames shot 45.8 percent (27-of-59) from the field, their highest in Horizon League play and second-highest mark of the season.
- UIC was a perfect 11-of-11 from the charity stripe, a season best.
- The Flames were also a season-best 66.7 percent (8-of-12) beyond the arc, while holding the Norse to just 18.2 percent from the three-point line.
- Taylor Toney led all scorers with 21 points, her sixth showing with 20-plus points this season. Toney was also solid on the defensive side, recording three blocks and four steals.
- Tylah Lampley and Tia Tedford poured in 14 points apiece, marking the 12th game UIC has had three or more players in double digits.
- Gabryelle Johnson netted six, rebounded six, and assisted on six. Her six assists was a career high. Johnson also had a pair of blocks and three steals on the other side of the court.
- The Flames combined for eight blocks all together, matching a team high.
- Five Flames contributed to the season-high percentage beyond the arc. Toney (2), Tedford (2), Lampley (2), Catera Etheridge (1) and Kara Wilson (1).
Raider Recap
- Wright State grabbed a big 66-63 win over IUPUI on Friday for its 20th win of the season. The victory marks the fifth season of 20-plus wins and second-straight under head coach Katrina Merriweather.
- Â The Raiders had four players in double figures, led by Chelsea Welch with 18 points. Welch also tacked on four assists in the win. Mackenzie Taylor recorded 15 points alongside three steals, while Lexi Smith and Emily Vogelpohl finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
- Wright State is locked in a three-way tie for third place, with an 11-6 conference record identical to Milwaukee and Cleveland State.
- The Raiders own the top scoring offense in the Horizon League, averaging 74.0 points per contest. That mark lands them in second in scoring margin, with a +12.5 average advantage over their competitors.
- Wright State is the lone team above the Flames in offensive rebounds, as it averages 16.9 offensive boards per game.
