CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (8-21, 1-17 HL) was handed an 80-53 loss to Wright State (21-9, 12-6 HL) on Sunday afternoon in the final matchup of the regular season. The Flames honored seniors

Teodora Zagorac for their careers at UIC prior to the start of the game.
Taylor Toney closed out the regular season in style with her fifth double-double of the season, leading the Flames with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Toney also helped spread the ball around with five assists.
First Half Highlights
- The Flames won the tip off, and Taylor Toney found an open lane to drive in a layup for the game's first bucket. Wright State found its first points at the free throw line, and built a 16-6 lead off a 12-0 run. The Flames committed seven turnovers in that span.
- Kara Wilson was able to sink a short jumper to end the Raiders' streak, but the Flames faced a 16-9 deficit at the end of the first 10 minutes. The Flames ended the first quarter with 10 turnovers, seven of which were also Wright State steals.
- Wilson kept producing for UIC, going long for three, and the Flames came within four after another three, this time from Tylah Lampley, 24-20.
- Wright State's offense went cold, going just 1-for-13, and was without a point for four minutes until a pair of free throws added two, 26-22.
- The Flames outscored the Raiders 15-12 in the second quarter to end the first half in striking distance, 28-24.
Second Half Highlights
- Foul shots were the source of both teams points to start the second, and Taylor Toney put in the first field goal for UIC just as she did in the first half, 35-29.
- The Flames went 1-for-10 in the first seven minutes of the half, allowing the Raiders to go on a 9-0 run, 44-29.
- UIC finished the third quarter 2-for-15, while Wright State poured in 23 points in the 10-minute period to run away with a 51-32 lead heading into the final quarter.
- The Flames had their best offense in the fourth quarter, netting 21 points, but the visitors had their best quarter as well, pouring in 29 points, giving the Raiders the 80-53 win.
Facts and Figures
- Tylah Lampley was close to the first double-double of her career, tallying 11 points and nine rebounds.
- Teodora Zagorac also gave a well-rounded effort, netting eight points and six rebounds. Gabryelle Johnson also had eight points, while also blocking a season-high three.
- The Flames were outshot by the Raiders, 39.1 percent to 33.3 percent. Wright State also made more attempts, putting up 69 tries to UIC's 60.
- The Flames held a slight edge on the boards, 43-42, but the Raiders had more offensive rebounds, 20-17.
- Wright State was better in the paint, 48-24, and also committed just seven turnovers, while UIC turned it over 23 times. The Flames miscues led to 26 points for the Raiders.
- The visiting squad also had more second chance points, 16-13.
- UIC also committed 23 personal fouls, which allowed the Raiders to go 24-31 from the charity stripe, meanwhile the Flames had just 16 attempts at the line, making 10.
