East Lansing, Mich. - The 12th-ranked UIC men's gymnastics fell to #7 Michigan State Sunday afternoon in East Lansing, Mich., 224.225-217.800.

UIC's best showing as a team came on the pommel horse as it tallied a 37.250 led by a second-place showing from Erin Willingham with a 9.650. Greg Gabel (9.450) and Chris Coorlim (9.350) also turned in strong pommel horse routines for the Flames.

On the still rings, Mike D'Antino's 9.200 tied for first with Michigan State's Jon Plante while David Johnson's 9.200 on the high bar landed him in second place on that event to highlight UIC's stronger performances of the afternoon.

UIC and Michigan State will square off once again next Saturday, Feb. 26, when the Spartans visit Chicago and UIC's Physical Education Building at 7:00 p.m.
