Gymnastics Hosts Mixed Pairs This Sunday

Chicago, Ill. - UIC Gymnastics will give fans a sneak peak of what's in store for the 2009 season this Sunday as the Flames host the annual Mixed Pairs exhibition competition at the Physical Education Building at 2 p.m. on Dec. 7.

The women's squad features a trio of new faces in freshman Rachel Montoya, Andrea Skala and Danielle Yaros behind ten returning competitors. Seniors Annie Kachman, Beth Kliver, Kristen Kulinczenko, Zandre Labuschagne and Ashley Thurston will look to return to the NCAA regional to cap off their UIC careers this season.

10 seniors will guide the men's team, complete with an abundance of talent from a nine-member freshman class. NCAA All-Around finalist Andrew Stover returns for his junior campaign where he will look to improve upon his 11th place finish from 2008.

The meet will take place in the Physical Education Building. Admission is free.
