CLEVELAND - The UIC men's tennis team winning streak in Horizon League play was snapped by the smallest of margins on Saturday afternoon as the Flames fell on the road to Cleveland State, 4-3.
UIC (11-7, 5-1) clawed back into the match after failing to procure the doubles point, winning in straight sets at the second, fifth and sixth singles spots.
A back-and-forth affair at No. 1 singles ended in the Vikings favor for the 4-3 Flames loss.
The Flames return to action this Wednesday for a non-conference matchup against IPFW.
