Basketball Tickets Set to Go On Sale Monday

CHICAGO - Individual game tickets for the 2010-11 UIC men's and women's basketball campaigns will officially go on sale next Monday (Oct. 18), it was announced Thursday afternoon. Including the exhibition contests, the teams will host a combined 30 games at the UIC Pavilion this season.

The men's basketball team will host 14 games at the UIC Pavilion, including back-to-back late-season contests against crosstown rival Loyola (Feb. 16) and 2010 national finalist Butler (Feb. 19). Tickets will be priced at $18 for lower level/sideline seats, while upper level/baseline tickets will cost just $12. Group tickets will be priced at $10 each. The Flames' first game at home will be an exhibition contest against Illinois-Springfield on Nov. 3.

Additionally, this season, six value games have been inserted into the Flames' ticket lineup. Contests versus Central Michigan (Nov. 24), Toledo (Nov. 28), Akron (Dec. 4), Wright State (Jan. 6), Youngstown State (Jan. 29) and Green Bay (Feb. 10) will feature $8 tickets, providing an even more affordable choice to Chicago hoops fans.

The UIC women's basketball squad will host 16 home contests at the Pavilion, beginning with an exhibition game versus St. Xavier on Nov. 3 at 5 p.m., preceding the men's exhibition contest. General admission tickets for women's games will cost just $6, while group tickets are priced at $3 apiece.

On Dec. 18, the men's and women's basketball teams will both collide against in-state rival Illinois at the United Center. The women's contest is set to tip off at 10:30 a.m., with the Illini as the home team. The men's game is scheduled at 1 p.m., and UIC will be the home team. Ticket prices, as well as the date of sale for the doubleheader, will be released at a later date.
