CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The UIC men's gymnastics team was unable to best sister school Illinois in a Saturday afternoon matchup downstate in Huff Hall, falling to the Illini, 362.250-343.550.
While the Illini claimed victory in every event amidst their own senior day festivities, the Flames had strong performances from their veteran leaders.
Dave Mohr took third on the pommel horse with a 14.600 performance, while Nikolai Korepanov tied for second on the still rings with a score of 14.800.
Kyle Voissem took runner-up honors in the all around with a total score of 84.450, edging out Andrew Stover who finished the day with an 83.800 tally.
The Flames now near the completion of the 2010 schedule, with their final home meet falling on Friday, March 26. UIC will celebrate the careers of its senior class before taking on second-ranked Stanford in the P.E.B. at 7 p.m.
