CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team won its second straight Horizon League match on Saturday, beating Butler 4-3 at the UIC Outdoor Courts.
The Flames started the day off going three-for-three in doubles competition, taking a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Sebastian Lystad won his fifth straight singles match, defeating Ben Ravnauld 7-6 (6) in set one and closed out set two with a 6-4 win.
Nate Kirk came back to best Brandon Bavliss in three sets. Kirk dropped the first set 6-2, but stormed back to take sets two and three 6-1.
Camilo Giraldo rounded out the day for UIC on the courts, defeating Andrew Bavliss in two sets. Giraldo took set one 6-1 and finished the match off with a 6-2 victory in set two.
Prior to today's match, UIC Athletics honored seniors Bastian Harbo and Lystad for their dedication to Flames tennis.
UIC will close out the regular season on Sunday April 18, when it hosts Horizon League foe Wright State. The match is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
