CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team closed out the regular season on Sunday with a 7-0 win over Horizon League foe Wright State at the UIC Outdoor Courts.
The Flames took wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage going into singles competition. In singles play, UIC went six-for-six for the fourth time this season.
Luis Gonzaga bounced back from a set one loss to beat Landon Neuman in three sets. Gonzaga took set two 6-1 and finished the match with a 10-8 win in set three.
Sebastian Lystad extended his winning streak to six straight with a win over Nick Camilleri. Lystad won the match in two straight sets (6-4, 7-6 (1)).
The Flames finished the regular season with an overall record of 14-10 and a 5-2 record in the Horizon League.
UIC will be back in action on Friday April 23 for the Horizon League Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.
