CHICAGO - While the weather outside may be frightful, the UIC Flames have a way for you to beat the wintertime blues and enjoy exciting Horizon League basketball at the UIC Pavilion this weekend.
The Flames and Songwhale encourage you to text UICSNOW to 94253 and you'll receive four free tickets to Saturday's women's basketball game between UIC and cross-town rival Loyola Ramblers…but that's not all! With the snow free falling like Tom Petty and the wind whipping back and forth like Willow Smith's hair, we'll throw in a UIC Basketball winter hat that will help protect you from the elements.
Standard text messaging rates apply and the offer ends Friday, Feb. 4 at noon because let's face it, by then it'll just be bitterly cold and back normal in Chicago. Saturday's game between Loyola and UIC is also the annual WBCA Pink Zone game which promotes breast cancer awareness. Paul Mitchell The School will also be on hand giving out free haircuts, though donations to the cause won't be turned down. And the cold weather isn't an excuse to avoid the stylists because you can put your new UIC Basketball winter hat on when you leave the Pavilion and you'll be all set.

The UIC women's basketball team isn't the only team with a great offer to catch the action. The Flames are also offering hoops fans the "February Four Pack." The package includes one premium lower-level ticket to all four February home basketball games, along with free parking, for just $50.
During the month of February, Howard Moore's sqaud will take on Green Bay (Feb. 10), Milwaukee (Feb. 12), cross-town rival Loyola (Feb. 16) and 2010 NCAA Tournament runner-up Butler (Feb. 19), all at the UIC Pavilion.
