CHICAGO - UIC men's gymnast Aaron was named the gymnast of the week by the gymnastics affiliate of the ECAC, the EIGL, for the period ending March 14, the conference office announced on Thursday.

A sophomore, Eyster had a commanding weekend the last time the Flames took to the floor inside the P.E.B., improving upon 14.0 and 15.2 scores on the floor and vault in a March 4th competition against Stanford, Illinois and Air Force to 14.4 and 15.2 on the same apparatus to close out the weekend at the March 6th meet versus Ohio State, Temple and Air Force.

With season-best tallies for the Flames on the vault, UIC defeated their first conference foe this year at the meet on the 6th, besting visiting Temple by seven points.

After an idle weekend, the Flames return to action, traveling to fellow league rival William & Mary for a 7 p.m. dual meet on Saturday, March 19 in Williamsburg, Va.
