CHICAGO - UIC volleyball player Aubrey Sniegowski has been selected as the UICFlames.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the period Nov. 12-18. Sniegowski led the Flames in total kills (38) and attacking percentage (.380) through two Horizon League Tournament games last week.

The senior tallied a career high of 20 kills in UIC's semifinal win against No. 3 seed Valpo last Saturday, posting an attacking percentage of .375. In Sunday's title match versus No. 1 seed Cleveland State, Sniegowski piloted the Flames in kills once again with 18 and a .385 hitting percentage.

The UIC volleyball team reached the Horizon League Championship match for just the second time in school history and the first time since 2006. Their 10 conference wins stands as the second-best total in program annals and 19 overall wins serves as the best mark since 2002.

This marks the sixth occurrence that the volleyball team has won the UICFlames.com award, more than any other sport, and Sneigowski is now the fifth member of the team to be recognized.
