CHICAGO - Sophomore Lukasz Adamczyk (Deerfield, Ill./Stevenson) has been named the ECAC Gymnastics Gymnast of the Week (Feb. 20-30), it was announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

Adamczyk earned the honor after posting a 14.7 on the pommel horse to claim first place in Saturday's (Feb. 18) tri-meet with first-place finishing Temple (337.700), while the Flames finished second (325.500) over Springfield with 320.500 points inside the McGonigle Hall in Philadelphia, Pa.

Adamczyk currently ranks ninth on the pommel horse according to the Troester National Rankings with a 14.533 average. The sophomore captured a school record 15.1 in the event Feb. 11 to claim first place in a 339.000-329.000 loss to Illinois. The 15.1 is currently the fourth-highest pommel horse scored recorded in NCAA competition to date.

Adamczyk and the rest of the Flames return to action Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (CT) against Minnesota inside the Physical Education Building in Chicago, Ill.
