Final Results 
IOWA CITY, Iowa - Senior Dan Zerbel and junior Lukasz Adamczyk collected first-place finishes on floor and pommel horse, respectively, as the UIC men's gymnastics suffered a 428.300-400.300 loss to No. 10 Iowa in its final meet of the regular season Saturday at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
"It was kind of a rough day," head coach Charley Nelson said. "Those are the kind of score you are going to get when you have about a 52% hit ratio. There were some bright spots with Lukasz (Adamczyk) winning pommel horse and Dan (Zerbel) winning floor with a minor error."
Despite the outcome, the Flames had top scores from Zerbel, Adamczyk, Jason Gaides and Justin Maxwell.
Zerbel garnered his first-place finish on floor after producing a 14.800. He later came in with a team-best score of 13.950 on horizontal bar for fifth and then turned around on parallel bars to take fourth with a score of 14.400.
On pommel horse, Adamczyk was able to oust the opposition and come away with a 14.600 for first place and add to the team's event score of 68.850. Joseph Hodges brought in the next highest score for the Flames with a 13.500.
For the second-consecutive week, Gaides led UIC on vault with his score of 14.250 and tied for fifth, with Zerbel coming in with a 13.850. Gaides ultimately produced the team's best all-around score of 80.000.
Maxwell had the Flames' best score of rings after scoring 14.150, while Trent Jarrett was able to bring in a 13.900.
With the conclusion of the regular season, the Flames get set for the ECAC Championship, hosted by Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., from April 5-6.
