CHICAGO - The UIC men's gymnastics team heads to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face Big Ten-member Michigan on Saturday at the Cliff Keen Arena. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (CT).
UIC's last competition came on March 8 when the Flames fell to Illinois 427.850-401.900 at the H.E. Kenney Gym in Champaign, Ill.
Jason Gaides just missed first on floor with his score of 14.150. Gaides also took first in all-around competition scoring 83.000.
Senior Lukasz Adamczyk tied with Illinois' Chad Mason on pommel horse with his score of 14.800, good for a second-place finish.
Brett Valin and the Fighting Illini's Thomas Gibbs tied for third on vault with a final score of 14.800.
Senior Joseph Hodges' score of 14.150 on horizontal bar was good for third. Hodges also scored 77.550 in all-around, placing him in second.
The Flames first saw Michigan this season at the Windy City Invitational (Jan. 18) when the Wolverines took first place with a score of 437.500, while UIC placed sixth (395.500).
