CHICAGO - Fox 32 Chicago returned to UIC's campus on Saturday as the UIC student-athlete founded service program SPARK (Students Performing Acts of Random Kindness) prepared to celebrate a milestone in feeding 1,000 of Chicago's homeless.
Co-founder
Mitch Granger talked with Fox 32 Chicago's Jeff Herndon on the growth of SPARK, the hopeful collaboration with surrounding universities and the importance of performing these random acts.
SPARK began in November 2014 with a mere eight volunteers and has since expanded immensely as the program has garnered hundreds of volunteers and fed over 1,000 of the homeless throughout Chicago in less than one year.
