UIC v Michigan Results 
ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The UIC men's gymnastics team traveled to take on No. 10 Michigan Saturday afternoon inside Cliff Keen Arena. The Flames fell short in their final competition of the regular season to the Wolverines, 429.750-368.000.
The Flames began competition on the pommel horse as senior Japheth Grimes notched a team-best score of 13.250. Juniors Christopher Root and CJ Patton tied for second-best with a total of 13.150 on the event. On floor, Jacob Thurber recorded a team-high score of 13.800 which was good for fifth place. He also tallied a 13.550 on vault for the Flames.
Senior Jarrett recorded top scores for the Flames on the vault (13.850) and rings (13.700), also posting competitive marks on floor (13.500) and parallel bars (13.100). Freshman Steen Haugsted collected UIC's best high bar score of 12.450, while fellow freshman teammate Wes Diveney tallied the top score of 13.500 on parallel bars.
Haugsted followed suit on parallel bars with his total score of 13.400. Root was also second-best on the rings with his final mark of 13.600, and on high bar with a 12.300.
The Flames return to action next weekend (April 2-3) when they travel to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the ECAC Championships.
