CHICAGO- The UIC men's gymnastics team makes its way to Virginia to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships this weekend. The event is hosted by William & Mary Saturday and Sunday (April 2-3) inside Kaplan Arena.
The team championship and all-around competition get underway Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CT, with individual competition scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CT on Sunday. The Flames will be competing against gymnasts from Springfield College, William & Mary, Army, Navy and Temple.
"I trust this team to put everything together on Saturday and then we'll just have to see where we sit when the dust settles," said head coach Charley Nelson. "I'm also expecting several individuals to qualify into Sunday's event finals."
At the 2015 ECAC Championships, the Flames placed fourth with a final score of 409.350.
