UIC v Cleveland State Results
CHICAGO - The UIC men's and women's swimming and diving programs completed their meet against Cleveland State on Saturday inside the Flames Natatorium. The women's team was victorious finishing with a score of 181-119, but the men fell short 153.5-146.5

Prior to the meet, the team honored their senior class for Senior Day; the seniors celebrated included Claire Haggerty, Erika Martinez, Erin Sivak,
Nicholas Kowaleski and
Tyler Pastore.

"Today was about our seniors," said head coach
Tim Loeffler. "I can't thank them enough for their four years of sacrifice and dedication to this program."
In his final dual home meet, senior
Nicholas Kowaleski won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:42.38 as well as the 500 freestyle after touching the wall at 4:39.52. Junior
Tanner Alms took the top spot in the 1000 freestyle after posting a time of 9:46.69.

Max Pohl captured first with their time of 1:23.71. Freshman Daniel Sivak won the 200 breaststroke (2:09.34) while fellow freshman
Michael Tegeler finished first in the 200 yard backstroke (1:49.61).

On the women's side, senior Claire Haggerty touched the wall in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.61. The women's 200 free relay team, including senior Erika Martinez, sophomore Lexie Joy, freshman Misha Neal and sophomore Dani Cabrera earned the top spot with their time of 1:37.29.

Meanwhile, junior Brianna Hines dominated all three of her events finishing fifteen seconds ahead of her opponents in the 500 free (5:01.37), thirty-one seconds ahead in the 1000 free (10:12.96) and wrapped up with a final time of 1:05.41 in the 100 breast. Â

Junior Katy Knight led the Flames on the boards with scores of 253.70 in the 3-meter dive and a 235.95 in the 1-meter dive. Sophomore
Sean Scarry swept the boards scoring a 251.70 and 308.25 in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, respectively; senior
Tyler Pastore earned the fourth spot in the 3-meter dive with a score of 253.50.

The swimming team will be in action on Jan. 20-21 for the UIC Flame's Invitational inside the Flames Natatorium. The full team will be back in the pool on Feb.22-25 for the Horizon League Championships which will be hosted by UIC.
