Box Score UIC finished play at the ITA Regionals in doubles competition Friday at Notre Dame.  The duo of Johan Hedstrom and William Wale advanced to the round of 32 before losing a tightly fought battle.

Doubles Highlights

• Hedstrom and Wale turned in a strong performance in the round of 64, eventually taking down Cleveland State's Bilinovich and Phillips, 8-6.  "It was a nice first round win for them," head coach Hans Neufeld commented.
• The pair faced Brown and Maloney from Michigan in the round of 32.  Neither team broke serve until the Flames dropped a 3-3 point in the last game and fell 8-6.  "Johan and William came to play.  This was the best they've played, period," Neufeld said.
• Anthony Nguyen and Kasper Parlko lost an 8-1 set to Cleveland State's Terry and Teichmann.
• Also facing a team from Cleveland State, Pelle Strandberg and Niko Wasilewicz fell by an identical 8-1 score.

• With the fall season complete, the Flames will prepare for the dual season beginning in January.
• The team will return to action January 13 at Western Michigan.
