Box Score The UIC men's tennis team welcomed Davidson to Hinsdale Racquet Club for the team's first home match of 2018 Saturday night. The Wildcats' experience proved too much for a young Flames squad to overcome, as UIC fell to 0-3 on the season after the 6-1 decision.
"Davidson is a solid opponent with senior experience," head coach
Hans Neufeld said. "I was pleased with the effort but we need to continue to improve and enjoy the competition."

- Kailash Panchapakesan took a one set lead in his #5 match but was pushed to a third set. In a 10-point tiebreaker, instituted because Davidson had already captured the overall win, he fell in a hard fought match, 5-7, 6-3, 10-4.
- Niko Wasilewicz came back from a 6-3, 3-1 deficit to win his second set on the #1 court, 6-3. In the decisive third set, he ran out of gas and dropped a 6-1 decision.
