The UIC men's tennis team will have one more non-conference match before Horizon League play begins.  The Flames will venture just over the Indiana state line to take on Purdue Northwest at Match Point Tennis Club in Griffith, Ind. on Friday at 2:00 pm.

Service

• Marcelo Dib and Niko Wasilewicz remain UIC's hottest doubles team, with four wins on the season.
• Johan Hedstrom and William Wale are right on their heels with three wins.
• Marco Nanni and Kailash Panchapakesan claimed the Flames' only doubles win last weekend.

Return

• In singles play, the #3 court has been the most prolific for UIC.  The team's three wins there, split between Dib and Hedstrom, are the most in any flight.
• Marco Nanni is responsible for both of the Flames' wins this year on the #5 court.
• The team has at least one win in every singles position.

Winner

• The Flames turned in two 6-1 wins in the same day, defeating Chicago State and Eastern Illinois on March 3.
• Those two wins halted a five match losing streak that opened the season.

Last Time Out

• Last weekend was a rough one for UIC, as the team was shut out by city rivals DePaul and Northwestern.
• Three singles players lost in a third set to DePaul.
• The Northwestern match was halted after the Wildcats clinched their fourth point.  At that time, Panchapakesan was leading in the second set, and Wasilewicz was in the midst of a rally at #1.

Scouting Purdue Northwest

• Purdue Northwest sits at 6-3 on the season after a 7-2 win over St. Ambrose March 3.
• The Pride won every match that was contested in straight sets.  St. Ambrose's only points came on courts where PNW did not send out a player.
• Earlier this year, PNW lost to common opponent Chicago State, 4-3.
• Moritz Gisy paces the team with six singles wins.  Three players have five each.
