UIC fell to #4 Green Bay, 4-2, in Horizon League tournament quarterfinal action Friday afternoon at Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind.  The Flames jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the doubles competition and a quick singles match, but the Phoenix rallied to advance to Saturday's semifinals.

Doubles Results

• Marcelo Dib and Niko Wasilewicz finished off their opponents on the #1 doubles court, 6-1, giving the Flames an early edge in the race for the doubles point.
• Johan Hedstrom and William Wale closed out the Phoenix at #2, 6-3, and the Flames had a 1-0 team lead.
• Marco Nanni and Kailash Panchapakesan had a 5-3 lead in the #3 flight when the point was clinched.

Singles Results

• Panchapakesan got the win at #5 singles, 6-1, 6-1.  He moved into a tie for second on the team with his sixth singles win of the season.
• Nanni fell, 6-4, 6-3, on the #3 singles court.
• Dib, playing at #4, dropped a 6-3, 6-3 match.
• The Phoenix moved ahead for the first time in the match with a win over Piotr Lada, 6-4, 6-4, at #6.
• The #2 singles match was extended to three sets, but Green Bay got the win over Hedstrom and clinched the team victory with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 decision.
• Wasilewicz was pulled off the #1 singles court during the third set, after winning the first set 6-4 and losing the second by the same score.
