Action continued Saturday at the River Forest Collegiate Invitational, with doubles draws coming to a conclusion and singles draws determining who would play for the championships. UIC saw three doubles teams, and four singles players, come away with a victory, highlighted by
Pelle Strandberg, who will play for the #3 singles championship Sunday.

Singles – Second Round
- Niko Wasilewicz began the day with a walkover in the #1 draw, moving him into the fifth place match.
- Johan Hedstrom started strong but ultimately fell in a tiebreaker, 3-6, 6-4, (10-4) to Eric Marbach out of Northern Illinois. Hedstrom will play in the third place match.
- Pelle Strandberg rallied from a set down for the second straight day. He advanced to the championship match at #3 with a 4-6, 6-3, (10-7) win over St. Louis' Kenji Yanaba.
- Kasper Parlklo was unable to match Strandberg's result, getting shut out of the championship #4 match by a 6-3, 7-5 score.
- Panchapakesan will look to finish seventh in the #5 draw after falling to Youngstown State's Luke Purser, 6-2, 6-0.
- Nguyen fell into the third place match as Daniel Hernandez (Eastern Illinois) proved to be too much, 6-3, 6-1.
- Wale fell in Group A of the predetermined, #7 bracket, 6-1, 6-2. Piotr Lada was a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2) winner in Group B. de la Fuente was also a straight sets winner, albeit in a tiebreaker, 6-2, 7-6 (4) in Group C.
