On Day 2 of the ITA Midwest Regionals, UIC added to its numbers in the main singles draw, and advanced one doubles team to the second round.
Kasper Parlklo won his third-round match in the singles qualifying bracket. That garnered him a spot in the main draw. He and
Johan Hedstrom will represent UIC as the singles competition continues Saturday. The pair also teamed up to give the Flames a doubles win in the opening round.
Singles Results
- Parlklo defeated Clark Bilinovich of Cleveland State, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, to advance to the main draw.
- Niko Wasilewicz also competed in the final round of qualifying. He forced a third set, where Notre Dame's Matthew Halpin pulled out the win, 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.
