A busy stretch of three matches in eight days will begin Saturday, when UIC hosts Toledo at Hinsdale Racquet Club.  The Flames will look to continue their momentum from last weekend against a Rockets squad that will be in town for two matches.  The match will be the second of nine straight played in Chicago or the immediate suburbs, and one of two that the Flames will play at their alternate indoor home in Hinsdale.  First serve will be at 6 pm.

Flames to Watch

• Niko Wasilewicz and William Wale are the reigning Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week.  They started off the Flames' match against Eastern Illinois with a 6-4 win that led to a doubles point win and a match victory over the Panthers.
• Johan Hedstrom and Kasper Parlklo have racked up three doubles wins in dual match play.
• Kailash Panchapakesan has been one of the hottest Flames on the singles courts, amassing a 3-1 record since settling in the #6 slot.
• Anthony Nguyen has won two of his last four singles matches.

Last Time Out

• UIC played a split doubleheader last Sunday, and fittingly enough, split it.
• In a win over Eastern Illinois at XS Tennis, the Flames raced out to a 2-0 lead.  After the Panthers tied things up, the Flames rallied to win the last three points.
• Panchapakesan, Nguyen, and Pelle Strandberg closed things out with singles wins down the stretch.
• Later that night, the team dropped a 4-0 decision at Northwestern.
• The Wildcats capitalized on some unforced errors to win the match in shutout fashion.

Scouting Toledo

• Toledo comes to Chicago on a two match losing streak, including a defeat at the hands of Horizon League member Youngstown State.
• Omar Espinosa and Tyler Gargas each came through with singles wins for the Rockets against Duquesne last weekend.  Espinosa was also part of a winning doubles team.
• The teams have not met since 2006, when the Rockets topped UIC 6-1 at Toledo.
• Toledo will square off with Chicago State Friday evening.
