The Flames will play the final of nine straight matches in Chicagoland when they host Dayton for a non-conference tilt.  It will also be the final tuneup before Horizon League play commences.  UIC will play its first two league matches on the road at Northern Kentucky and Wright State, after hosting the Flyers at XS Tennis on Saturday at 1 pm.

Flames to Watch

• Anthony Nguyen has been locked into the #5 spot in the singles lineup.  His four wins there are the most by any Flame in a single flight.
• Kailash Panchapakesan has the most overall singles wins on the team, with four, spread throughout his multiple appearances in the third through sixth slots.
• Kasper Parlklo is UIC's primary #3 singles player.  He picked up his first win as a Flame in the team's last match at XS Tennis.
• Parlklo and Johan Hedstrom have found success at #2 doubles, where they have a 4-3 record.

Last Time Out

• The Flames dropped a tough, 4-0 decision at Northwestern on Sunday.
• Hedstrom and Parlklo were deadlocked in a 3-3 battle at #2 doubles when their set was halted due to Northwestern clinching the doubles point.
• Once the Wildcats won the first three singles matches, clinching the team win, all further play was halted.  At that time, Nguyen was up a set at #5, and Hedstrom and Pelle Strandberg each led in the second set.

Scouting the Flyers

• Dayton enters the weekend with a 10-4 record.  They will play DePaul on Friday.
• The Flyers dispatched Horizon League foe Wright State, 6-1, as part of their current six match winning streak.
• Joe DeMarco is the reigning and back-to-back Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.  He is 7-2 in dual match singles.
• Jordan Benjamin, who has racked up wins at #1 singles, and Spencer Richey are undefeated in A-10 play at #1 doubles.
