DePaul grabbed momentum in doubles play, and rode it through singles competition in their win over UIC Saturday evening. The Flames were unable to sustain an attack in the 7-0 loss.
Niko Wasilewicz came closest to victory. Up a set at #3 singles, he dropped the second set in a tiebreaker and then succumbed in the third set.
The Flames will play their next three matches at home.

- Hedstrom rallied in the second set but could not get over the hump in a 6-1, 6-4 loss at #1.
- Parlklo was a 6-3, 6-2 victim on the #2 court.
- The Blue Demons clinched the match when Strandberg's #5 matchup went their way, 6-2, 6-4.
- Anthony Nguyen was on the wrong end of a 6-4, 6-2 match at #4.
- Wasilewicz, playing in the #3 flight, fell by a final of 4-6, 7-6 (5), 10-7.
- Dos Santos went down, 6-2, 6-1, at #6.
