2/27/2021 3:00:00 PM

UIC came away with two wins over Cleveland State in Saturday's dual meet.  The Flames women cruised to a 196-91 win, while the men were tested but squeezed out a 159-137 victory.

Jan Komorowski won two events for the second time in as many meets.  He had to out-touch a teammate to win the 200 free.  Lizzie Zeller, a junior transfer from Rutgers, made her UIC debut with two wins, including a 0.03-second margin in the 500 free.

Other Flames who swam for the first time this year included Taira Juronis, Lilly Culp, and Poleena Kovalaske, all of whom won multiple events.  A deep men's team saw no less than five different swimmers take first place honors.

On the diving boards, Cydney Liebenberg and Felix LaFortune swept the 1-meter and 3-meter events again.  Liebenberg set the pool and UIC record with a score of 342.45 on the 3-meter board.
