UIC fell to undefeated Northern Illinois, 7-0, Sunday in DeKalb.
Lining up with only five players, the Flames were unable to generate momentum at the outset. "We need to improve on coming out strong and dictating,"
Hans Neufeld said. "We are playing defense out at the start. We have a young team that needs to learn how to throw the first punch."
As the calendar turns to March, Horizon League play is fast approaching. First, UIC will have three home matches out of their four remaining non-conference tilts.
