CHICAGO – The UIC spirit squads picked up a pair of top-three finishes at Nationals earlier this month, as the Dance team competed at the National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate National Championship and the cheer squad competed at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Collegiate National Championship.

The two teams submitted virtual taped performances, with preliminaries being held March 17-24 and finals taking place April 1-7. Awards were presented to the teams on Saturday, April 10, with the dance team taking home a second-place finish in the Division I Team Performance category and the cheer squad finishing third in the Intermediate All-Girl Division I category.

The dance team also competed in the Dance Team Union College Classic on Sunday, April 11, where they earned a third-place finish in the Team Performance category.
