CHICAGO – Emily Wollet, a seasoned athletic administrator and former track standout, has been named UIC's Senior Associate Athletics Director/Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. She will begin her duties with the Flames on July 19.
In her role, Wollet will oversee the development, implementation, and management of the department's compliance program. She will also enforce all policies and procedures of UIC, the athletics department, the Horizon League and NCAA. Wollet will lead risk management initiatives for the Flames, as well.

Wollet arrives in Chicago after serving at her alma mater, Youngstown State University, since 2012. Most recently, she was an Associate Director of Athletics and SWA, as well as the department's Diversity and Inclusion Designee. She has also spent time working at the NCAA.
A native of Canfield, Ohio, Wollet oversaw and managed all aspects of the NCAA Division I rules compliance and staff in accordance with NCAA Bylaws and the Horizon League, as well as YSU's other affiliate conferences. Wollet served as compliance support for several sport programs including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf and football. She also acted as the department's sport supervisor for women's basketball, men's and women's golf.
In addition to her responsibilities within Athletics, Wollet served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for YSU's campus at-large, and a member of the school's CARE team (Concern-Assessment-Referral-Education). She served on a wide array of campus-wide committees, including ones with oversight of COVID-19 protocols, student conduct, housing and dining, financial aid and more.
Prior to her return to Youngstown State, Wollet was a postgraduate intern at the NCAA in Academic and Membership Affairs in 2011-12. There she assisted in processing waiver appeals, academic progress rate (APR) adjustments and more.
Wollet has been a member of Women Leaders in College Sports since 2013. She has also participated in the NCAA Women Leaders Institute for Administrative Advancement and attended the NCAA Women's Leadership Symposium and annual Regional Rules seminars.
Wollet is a two-time graduate of YSU. She obtained a Master of Science in Education Counseling in 2011 with a concentration in student affairs, leadership and practice. In 2009, she completed her Bachelor of Science in education.
As a student-athlete, Wollet ran for the Penguins from 2004-09 and was part of six Horizon League Championship teams (two indoor, four outdoor). Individually, she was a member of four conference champion relay teams, including both indoor and outdoor in 2005. She was regularly involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and served as the group's president in 2008-09.
