Men's Tennis is back in action this week, facing off against in-state rivals Eastern Illinois and Northern Illinois on Tuesday, Jan. 25, in Dekalb, Ill. The Flames' most recent dual came against Marquette, in which they fell 4-3. The Flames had some impressive showings in singles play from Pelle Strandberg, Gustavo Schwebel, and Artem Iermolov, who each pulled out victories in their matches.

The Flames are gearing up for a big week of play, with another match against Depaul scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 30. With the season kicking into full swing, the Flames are excited to get some quality matches in after the long break.

Eastern Illinois currently holds a 0-2 record heading into the match. In both of their matches against Ball State and Michigan State, the Panthers fell 0-7. Northern Illinois is 2-0 on the season, defeating Illinois Springfield in both games.

UIC is set to face both teams on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
