UIC men's tennis (1-8) travels to South Bend, Ind., home of the Notre Dame men's tennis team (7-3). The Flames are back on the road after a week of practice and preparation for the Fighting Irish's tennis team. UIC most recently faced Creighton and the University of Nebraska - Omaha, falling in both matches. The Flames were defeated by Creighton, 6-1; and to UNO, 7-0.

 In their previous season, Notre Dame finished fifth in the ACC with an overall record of 15-11 (6-5 ACC). This season, the Fighting Irish have had an impressive start to the season, going 3-2 in the past five matches. Notre Dame's only losses have come from Michigan, Northwestern, and No. 10 ranked Wake Forrest. 

The Flames will look to bounce back this weekend and compete against the Fighting Irish. With several injuries to some of the veteran players on the Flames squad, UIC will look to get some great energy out of the underclassmen. The Fighting Irish will be strong competition for UIC the Flames will look to play disciplined, make adjustments, and keep mentally tough against Notre Dame.

The Flames and Fighting Irish will face off on Sunday, Feb. 27, at South Bend, Ind.
