The Flames men's tennis team returns to play after a quick two-day turnaround to face the Chicago State Cougars. The Flames will be heading 30 minutes south to Homewood, Ill., to take on the Cougars for the first time this season. 

The Flames are coming off a tough outing against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday, Feb. 27. The Flames were swept 5-0 against the ACC opponent. UIC has been looking to turn the season around after going winless in Feb. The Flames have three more matches, including Wednesday's Chicago State matches, before entering Horizon League play against Northern Kentucky.

Chicago State holds a 5-9 record going into this match. The Cougars are riding a two-match win streak coming into this match against the Flames. Chicago State defeated Saint Louis 4-1 in their last match on Feb. 27. The last time these two teams faced off was Mar. 21, 2021. The Flames won the match, 4-3 at home.

UIC will travel to Champaign-Urbana later in the week on Mar. 5 to face the Fighting Illini of Illinois.
