UIC men's tennis (1-4) will travel to nearby Evanston, Ill. for a match against the Northwestern Wildcats (6-2) on Sunday, Feb. 6. The Flames are back in action after a week of practice in Chicago.
The Flames last faced DePaul on Sunday, Jan. 30. In that match, the Flames showed their grit, battling hard against the Blue Demons, but ultimately fell. UIC was competitive in doubles, the team of
Pelle Strandberg and
Francesco Tacconi contesting all through their match. The Flames will look to go into Evanston and grab their second victory of the season.
Northwestern is a strong competitor in the Big Ten, finishing second in the conference in 2021. The Wildcats are on a three-game weekend, facing Princeton, Duke, and UIC. The Wildcats pulled off a victory over Princeton, 4-3. The Flames will look to impress against Northwestern in Sunday's match.
