CHICAGO – The UIC men's tennis team returns to action this weekend, as it travels to nearby Notre Dame for a match against the Fighting Irish Saturday before traveling to Milwaukee for a match against Cardinal Stritch Sunday.
 
The Flames, winners of four of their last five, are playing some of their best tennis of the year in the middle stretch of the season. Prior to Sunday's loss at Dayton, the Flames were winners of four consecutive matches. Jai Vallurupalli won three consecutive singles matches against Marquette, Chicago State, and Northern Kentucky prior to a loss against Dayton.
 
The Flames and Fighting Irish have competed one time in the past, almost exactly a calendar year prior to Saturday's match, on Feb. 27, 2022. The Flames fell to the Fighting Irish by a final score of 5-0. Cardinal Stritch holds a 3-0 all-time series advantage over UIC.
