Box Score MUNCIE, Ind. (March 10, 2024) – The UIC men's tennis program (7-5, 0-2) fell 6-1 to a challenging Ball State program (7-6, 1-1) on the road Sunday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
Senior
Edoardo Bottino (Genoa, Italy/Queens University) was the lone Flames player to win a singles match, taking down his opponent in three sets.

MATCH RECAP
- The Flames dropped the doubles point after falling in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. UIC's No. 2 pair of Gustavo Schwebel (Salvador, Brazil/Colegio Antonio Vieira) and Bottino's match went unfinished due to the Cardinals securing the doubles point. In singles competition, Le Meur was the lone UIC student-athlete to record a win, sweeping his WMU opponent at No. 3 singles.
- The Cardinals came out strong in the singles portion of the match, winning four of their five matches via straight-set sweeps.
- With the team score already decided, Bottino won a 10-3 tiebreak to win the third set 1-0 and secure match victory at the No. 4 position.
- Sophomore Elliott Dam (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) competed in his first match of the season for the Flames, playing at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
