CHICAGO (Jan. 24, 2025) – UIC men's tennis secured its second win of the season on Friday afternoon, defeating Marquette 5-2 in an impressive performance at XS Tennis Village.

The Flames set the tone early by securing the doubles point, with standout performances from Eldin Nokic and Pedro Franca, as well as Artem Alekseychuk and Mihailo Savic, who clinched key wins in their respective matches.

In singles play, UIC dominated the competition, winning four out of six matches. The Flames displayed resilience and skill, clinching the victory with a well-rounded team effort.

With back-to-back wins to start the season, UIC is riding a wave of confidence heading into Sunday's match against Indiana University Indianapolis. The Flames' ability to secure victories against quality opponents like Marquette highlights their determination and competitive edge. Sunday's match up will be another opportunity for UIC to continue building on this strong start and further establish themselves as a formidable force.
