CHICAGO – The UIC swimming and diving program saw itself split its Friday night showdown against UChicago, with the women winning 194-105 and the men falling just short 142-156. The women were dominant, winning all but one swimming event against the Maroons. The win improves the women's win streak in dual meets to six after dropping their season opener.Â
COMMENT FROM HEAD COACH ASHLEY DELL
"Tonight was an awesome night for the Flames against a top DIII team! As a whole, it was probably our best dual meet performance of the season and I am so proud of their grit and the way they never back down. We are in a great spot with two meets left before MVCs and I know it's going to be a fun 6 weeks! "
COMMENT FROM ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH/ HEAD DIVING COACH SUSAN BROMBERG
"The divers did very well tonight. Bruno had a zone score in the 3 meter event and this was his first zone qualification score this season. We had 4 divers get personal best performances with Kerry, Ava, Emily and Jake in the 1 meter events."
