BLOOMINGTON, Ill - UIC men's tennis is back in action Friday night when they take on Illinois State. The Flames split their first two matches of 2026, while the Redbirds aim for the win column, losing its only match thus far to Northern Illinois. The Redbirds enter Friday's match with a record of 0-1 while the Flames hold a record of 1-1. In their last meeting, the Flames defeated the Redbirds in 2024 at XS Tennis Village by a score of 4-3.
Last time out UIC was victorious against Chicago State winning 7-0. Many Flames had a stellar showing on the court against the Cougars. Junior Artem Alekseychuk continued his strong start to the season winning in both singles and doubles in convincing fashion.
