CHICAGO (Oct. 16, 2026) – UIC Athletics has determined most of the start times for its 2026-27 men's and women's basketball seasons, it was announced Friday. The full schedules with tip times can be found online at UICFlames.com (see links in the box to the right or on the official team pages).
 
The UIC men's basketball team, picked third in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason poll, will play the majority of its home weeknight games at Credit Union 1 Arena at 6 p.m. (CT), with its home weekend contests at 2 p.m. (CT). The main exceptions will come during the first week of the season, with the Nov. 2 opener vs. St. Francis starting at 4 p.m. (CT) and the Nov. 6 Homecoming Game against Robert Morris tipping off at 7 p.m. (CT) — the latter will be preceded by the UIC Homecoming Tailgate in Lot 1 across from Credit Union 1 Arena.
 
Several men's basketball start times during MVC play are listed as TBA pending the conference's television package announcement in the coming days. Times for two additional men's basketball home games (Nov. 18 vs. Chicago State and Dec. 18 vs. Charlotte) are also being finalized and will be released soon.
 
The Flames' women's basketball team, tabbed to place sixth in the MVC according to its preseason poll, will play its home weeknight games at 7 p.m. (CT) and its home weekend games at either 1 or 2 p.m. (CT). The exceptions will be Dec. 22 vs. Valparaiso (noon CT start) and Feb. 12 vs. Murray State (11 a.m. CT for Education Day). The UIC women will open their home schedule on Homecoming Weekend with a Sunday, Nov. 8 matinee against Northwestern at 1 p.m. CT inside Credit Union 1 Arena — a special Flames Force student tailgate will also take place prior to the game.
 
Television coverage and promotional schedules for both UIC basketball teams are expected to be released shortly. What's more, any updates on start times will also be added to the official UIC Athletics web site and pushed out on the UIC basketball social media channels as they become official.
 
Season and single game tickets for UIC men's and women's basketball are now on sale (starting as low as $5 per game) and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
