CHICAGO - Sophomore Eldin Nokic of UIC men's tennis has been selected All-Mid American Conference Second Team (MAC) Tuesday afternoon. This is the thid postseason recognition for the sophomore, earning MAC Freshman of the Year and All-MAC First Team a season ago.Â
Nokic served as a leader of the Flames all season as he was a steady presence at No.1 and No. 2 singles, seeking big wins against the likes of Illinois' Hayden Jones (a two-time participant of the Australian Open) and Buffalo's Clement Mainguy (2024-25 three-time MAC Player of the Week).
Nokic also made his presence felt at No.1 doubles alongside Freshman Henrique Sa as the duo took home MAC Co-Double team of the week in early February. Together, Nokic and Sa sported a 9-9 overall record, including a seven match win streak to start the year.Â
