TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – After breaking records in their season opener, the Flames return to action Saturday, Sept. 19, at the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State University. The Flames will race alongside 50 teams from across the country at the renowned LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind. (599 Tabortown St.).
Race schedule (CDT):

• Women's 6K Championship – 7:30 a.m.
• Men's 8K Championship – 8:05 a.m.
• Women's 6K Open – 8:40 a.m.
• Men's 8K Open – 9:15 a.m.

As one of the premier meets of the cross country season, the John McNichols Invitational will feature 14 teams currently ranked in the USTFCCCA Top 25. This competition provides another early-season test for the Flames as they continue to build on their impressive start of the 2026 Fall season.

This is a unique opportunity for the Flames to run on the course that will host the NCAA Championships in late November.
