AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2021-22): Horizon League Champion, 3-meter diving...NCAA Zone qualifier, 1-meter and 3-meter...finished in the top three in every competitive round of the regular season except one...had eight regular season wins, including three sweeps of both diving events...was third on 1-meter and second on 3-meter in the season opener, but quickly returned to form, winning both events in each of the next two meets...won the 3-meter competition at the House of Champions...won both events against Notre Dame, and scored 408.15 on the 3-meter board to break the UIC program record...eclipsed the zone standard in nine of 10 rounds on the 1-meter board, and in eight of 10 outings on 3-meter...was the #1 seed after the preliminary round on both boards at the Horizon League Championships...went on to win the 3-meter championship for the third straight year, and came in second on the 1-meter board...named Diver of the Meet...advanced to the final round in 1-meter diving at Zones.

AS A SENIOR (2020-21): Horizon League Champion, 3-meter diving...NCAA Zone qualifier, 1-meter and 3-meter...went undefeated in both 1-meter and 3-meter events throughout the regular season...opened the season with wins on both boards against Milwaukee...scored 363.30 on the 3-meter board to set a personal record...went on to sweep the diving competitions against Cleveland State and Milwaukee, surpassing the NCAA Zone standard in every round...qualified for the NCAA Zone C meet...qualified for finals in both 1-meter and 3-meter events, becoming the first UIC male diver to make both finals in the same Zone meet...had the highest score in the preliminary round of both 1-meter and 3-meter diving at the Horizon League Championships...finished first in 3-meter and took third in 1-meter...named Diver of the Meet.

AS A JUNIOR (2019-20): Horizon League Champion, 1-meter diving...Horizon League Champion, 3-meter diving...NCAA Zone qualifier, 1-meter and 3-meter...CSCAA All-American...swept first place finishes on both 1-meter and 3-meter boards in five regular season meets...was second on both boards in the season opener at Northwestern, and against Oakland two meets later, with a 3-meter win and 1-meter second place outing in between against Michigan State...earned his first sweep against Milwaukee...won the 1-meter event at the House of Champions, and finished second in 3-meter...in the new year, took first place in nine of 10 combined events through the end of the regular season...broke the UIC 3-meter record against UChicago and Wabash...won both events at the Horizon League Championships...named Diver of the Meet...achieved Zone cut scores seven times on the 1-meter board and nine times in 3-meter diving...became the first UIC diver to advance to the final round at Zones, when he scored 298.90 on the 3-meter board...named an All-American by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): NCAA Zone qualifier, 1-meter and 3-meter...finished in the top three on at least one board in every meet, and on both boards eight times...made his Flames debut with a double-first place performance against Michigan State...also completed the first place sweep against Green Bay and Milwaukee...had five total first place finishes in 3-meter competition, and three in 1-meter diving...won 3-meter and took second in 1-meter at the TYR Invitational...was third on 3-meter and second on 1-meter at the UIC Diving Invitational...had five scores above the 3-meter NCAA Zone standard, and four totals that surpassed the 1-meter qualification...took third place on both boards at the Horizon League Championships...competed at the NCAA Zone C meet on both springboards...named UIC's Most Valuable Diver.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Did not compete.

PREP/PERSONAL: Finished in the top 10 at Junior Nationals on the 3m board and at Senior Nationals on the 1m...three time member of Team Quebec...son of Nancy Bergeron and Louis Lafortune...currently enrolled as a marketing major.
