AS A SENIOR (2019-20): Had third place finishes in the 200 breast and 200 IM, and was fourth in the 100 breast, in the season opener at Northwestern...debuted in the 1000 free, where he finished sixth, and also placed fifth in the 100 breast, against Michigan State...had three sixth place swims, in the 1000, 200 breast, and 400 IM, against Oakland...came in second in the 1000, and added a third place swim in the 200 breast, against Milwaukee...was in the top 15 in the 200 breast and 400 IM at the House of Champions...had three top-four swims, including the 1650, across two days against Cleveland State and IUPUI...made the consolation finals in the 200 breast (finishing 12th) and 400 IM (finishing 11th) at the Horizon League Championships...also took 14th in the 1650.

AS A JUNIOR (2018-19): Took sixth in the 200 breast and seventh in the 100 breast against Michigan State in the season opener...was the third place finisher in the 200 breast against Northwestern and Chicago...won the 200 breast and took third in the 100 breast against Olivet Nazarene...placed third in the 200 breast against Oakland...qualified for the finals in the 200 breast at the TYR Invitational, where he finished 12th...finished sixth in the 200 breast against Cleveland State and IUPUI...had top-seven finishes in both breaststroke races against Green Bay...swam both breaststroke events, and the 200 and 400 IM, at the Horizon League Championships...made the consolation finals in the 200 breast and finished 16th.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Began the season with a second place finish in the 400 IM (4:13.66), a third place showing in the 200 breast (2:11.44), and a fourth place swim in the 100 breast (1:01.02) against Green Bay and Valparaiso...swam three events with a second, third, and fourth place finish again versus Milwaukee, in the 200 breast, 200 IM, and 100 breast respectively...also swam the breaststroke leg of the third place 400 medley relay...was top-5 in all three events against Oakland...finished ninth in the 200 breast (2:04.52) at the TYR Invitational...swam the 200 and 400 IM, and added the 50 breast (:28.02) at that meet...continued racking up top-5 finishes in the breaststroke races at Cleveland State, taking fourth in the 100 (1:00.97) and second in the 200 (2:08.08)...added a fourth place finish in the 400 IM (4:12.67) on day 2...made the consolation finals in the 200 breast, finishing 11th (2:03.43), and the 400 IM, finishing 12th (4:03.11) at the Horizon League Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17 at North Dakota): Won the 200 breaststroke in his first collegiate meet against St. Cloud State...also finished second in the 100 breast at that meet...won the 200 IM and had four additional top-5 finishes in a tri meet with Northern Colorado and South Dakota...took second in the 200 breast against Minnesota...turned in three top-20 finishes at the WAC Championships.

PREP/PERSONAL: Member of state championship team as a senior...qualified for the state meet in multiple events all four years...son of Fabiola and Juan Carlos Perez...major is currently undecided.
